Pre-Moving Steps

1. Appointment and On-Site Survey

The Seabra Movers team will schedule a visit to assess your belongings and inspect the premises. During this survey, we evaluate the volume of items, the property layout, and accessibility to select the most suitable transportation. We also identify items requiring special care, such as large furniture, disassemble items, or fragile belongings. All information is used to create a comprehensive moving plan and provide an accurate quotation.

2. Moving Planning

2.1 Schedule and Route Planning

Our team evaluates the estimated moving time from origin to destination, then sets the moving date, time, and route. This ensures timely and safe delivery while considering convenient access to the destination.

2.2 Documentation

For international moves, we provide guidance on all necessary documents and customs regulations, including passports, Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, import/export permits, and other customs paperwork, ensuring full compliance with legal requirements.

2.3 Sorting and Packing Preparation

Seabra Movers prepares professional staff and high-quality packing materials such as corrugated boxes, protective tapes, and wrapping films. Items are sorted by type and importance, including belongings to be moved, items not moved, valuables, important documents, and any items requiring special handling to prevent damage.

2.4 Moving Insurance

Clients can opt for additional insurance to cover risks of damage or loss during the move, providing extra confidence and peace of mind throughout the relocation process.

3. Packing

Household Items and Fragile Goods For household and delicate items—such as kitchenware, plates, bowls, jewelry, and personal belongings—our team begins by individually wrapping each piece in protective paper, followed by an additional cushioning layer. Custom-cut cardboard is then applied to reinforce protection. Every item is carefully packed into boxes to minimize the risk of damage during transit.

Large Furniture and Decorative Items Large furniture and decorative pieces, including shelving units, paintings, and other oversized items, are wrapped in protective paper and padding before being secured in custom-built wooden crates or foam containers. This method ensures maximum stability and protection throughout transportation.

Clothing Clients may select their preferred packing method for clothing—either folded neatly into boxes or hung in specialized wardrobe cartons. Each box is equipped with moisture-absorbing packets to regulate humidity and safeguard garments during the move.

Shipping Options

To ensure a smooth, fast, and appropriate relocation of customers’ belongings, Seabra Movers offers a variety of shipping options to meet all needs.

Land Transport

For domestic moves or short distances, our team provides a range of moving vehicles, from pickup trucks, 4-wheel and 6-wheel trucks, to large trucks. These can accommodate household items, personal belongings, and furniture. The team arranges items properly to ensure safety throughout the journey.

Air Freight

For customers who require speed in moving important items, air freight is an ideal option, allowing goods to reach their destination quickly. Items are carefully arranged on pallets with secure packing measures to ensure safe and fast delivery.

Sea Freight

For international moves or large volumes, customers can choose from 2 sea freight options:

1. Less-than Container Load (LCL) - A shared container service with other clients, reducing costs and suitable for smaller quantities. Items are packed in wooden crates or lift vans for protection before being loaded into the container.

2. Full Container Load (FCL) - A full container for a single client, ideal for large quantities or oversized furniture that requires an entire container for transport.

Customs Clearance for International Moves

Seabra Movers provides comprehensive customs clearance services to ensure that customers’ items are imported or exported correctly, smoothly, and in compliance with the laws of each country. Our team of experts offers guidance on the required documents and coordinates with customs authorities at the destination.
